The journey starts with a drive past Jebel Ali Port, the largest man-made port in the World. On arrival at the island-city’s outskirts visit Masdar City, a US $20-billion enterprise for an insight into Abu Dhabi’s quest to become a source for knowledge and innovation in the areas of renewable energy and green technology. Next a short drive to Yas Island, one of two newly developed destinations, provides photo opportunities at the vibrant marina of Yas Viceroy Hotel built on the Yas Marina F1 circuit. Afterwards a brief stop at the exciting Ferrari World Abu Dhabi allows enthusiasts a chance to purchase souvenirs at the world’s first and only Ferrari-designed motorsport theme park.
The tour continues to Saadiyat Island, the other new destination with lofty cultural ambitions where a photo-stop is made at the UAE Pavilion, an award-winning fully recyclable building before visiting Etihad Art Gallery. Leaving for the mainland via the masterfully designed sand dune-shaped Sheikh Zayed bridge brings you to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the 3rd largest in the world. Stop for photos of this stunning mega-structure before returning to Dubai.
